Standardized indicators of powder flowability. The Carr Index compares tapped density to bulk density (< 15: excellent flowability, > 25: poor), and the Hausner Ratio is equal to tapped density divided by bulk density. Required by the European Pharmacopoeia for pharmaceutical powders (capsule filling, tablet compression).
