An instrument designed to measure extensional viscosity and filament formation. The FV-30 (EKO Instruments) simultaneously measures the filament diameter (at 500 frames/s using a high-speed camera) and the normal force (resolution 1 mg). Distributed exclusively by Rheonova in Europe. Applications: inks, adhesives, paints, molten polymers, bio-inks.
