A branch of rheology that studies the flow properties of blood and its components (red blood cells, plasma, platelets). Blood viscosity depends on shear rate, hematocrit, and erythrocyte aggregation. It is a clinical parameter used for diagnosing vascular diseases and evaluating medical devices. Conducted by Rheonova in collaboration with the University Hospitals of Grenoble and Lyon.
