A rheological model derived from the Bingham model: beyond the yield stress (σy), the viscosity follows a power-law relationship and the material becomes shear-thinning. It is also referred to as a viscoplastic fluid. It is widely used to model paints, cosmetic creams, food sauces, cement slurries, and pharmaceutical gels. This is the most common type of behavior encountered in industry.
