A rheological phase change in a system transitioning from the liquid state (sol: G'‘ > G’) to the gel state (G' > G''). Detected by oscillatory rheology at the point where G' = G'' (gel point). Occurs during the curing of resins, the gelation of biopolymers, the setting of cements, or the denaturation of proteins. Monitored in real time by Rheonova for process qualification.
