Small Amplitude Oscillatory Shear: an oscillatory test performed in the linear viscoelastic range (LVR). It provides the material’s intrinsic moduli G' and G'' without altering its structure. As the basis for all viscoelastic characterization, it is systematically preceded by an amplitude sweep to identify the LVR. Applicable to all soft materials: gels, emulsions, and molten polymers.
